The Sneaker Drop: Nike Air Max 1 Master

In honour of Air Max day and month we present. The Sneaker Drop: Nike Air Max 1 Master. The month of March was a big one for Nike Air Max fans with different re-releases and new Air Max models. With one of the most anticipated releases of them all the Nike Air Max 1 Master. This sneaker marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1 and they have not disappointed!

The birth of the Air Max 1 was all the way back in 1987 and Tinker Hatfield was put in charge of designing a new pair of Air Max to which he decided to widen the air bag to increase the stability and partially remove the midsole so the air bag was visible. This formed your iconic design of the Air Max 1.

The creation of the eye-catching mudguard showcasing the vast collaborations with past Air Max 1 grails such as the Amsterdam’s Patta and Parra, Kid Robot, Atmos and CLOT along with the Air Max 1 ‘Beast’ and the OG red and blue suede. Nike have also returned to the original shape of the Air Max 1 for this release that will please a lot of the sneakerheads!

Nike have used the same perforated black leather to structure the upper and ankle collar that was used on the Kid Robot release for premium comfort and durability as well as including a rubber waffle outsole for maximum durable traction. To finish this monumental sneaker, Nike added a cool blue air unit to the heel.

Of course our Illustrator @cam_.xv made an illustration for The Sneaker Drop: Nike Air Max 1 Master.
